Have you ever felt that the situation is beyond your control? It is the feeling of drowning and realised that you can't swim! Well, a couple of weeks ago when I just came back from my 2nd business trip and that I have done 2 trips in such a short period of duration, I felt heavily weigh down by work. It is as if I am not on the top of the game and I cannot focus. Luckily I have hubby and TTB to keep supporting me and the regular hang-outs do really help a lot. THANK YOU!
Now? I am better. Hubby reminded me that I used to love planning at the beginning of the week on what I should do for the week (yes.. I normally spent up to 1 hour just to plan). List out every single details and strike off completed tasks. He also reminded me that I used to love to strike out dates on my calender too. Although these might seem small gestures, they really do help me to focus and also give me a sense of achievement.
Nevertheless, it is strange that at times you do feel you cannot handle what you are doing. I am sure this is quite common to all of us. Mostly it happens at workplace but it is the same for family or any other matters. TTB yesterday said to me, when we were discussing recent development at my work place, that sometimes when things go wrong it is not that we do not want to rescue the problem and make it better.. but it is as if playing we were Tetris and that the tiles are piling up faster than you can clear it. Or like playing Sim City or Zoo Tycoon that bad things kept happening, your customer/Sims kept complaining, you keep loosing money to the extent that there are just nothing you can do (or the situation seems that there are no cure, no solution and no way out). It is really scary and miserable to find yourself in this situation. However, I am a true believer that there is no such thing as "NO WAY OUT'.. there is always a way.. it all comes down to how we view our situation and the so call way out. Most importantly, we will always have our love ones to stand by us.
You never know where life will take you but you have to be brave to take the first step...

New hair style
Went for a hair cut on Sunday and got a complete make over. Cut my hair from relatively long to really short. Did hightlight as well... the verdict? Most of my colleagues commented that i look so young now and fresh. heh... that's the aim. However, i find that the best is from one of my senior managers who said:"WOW!". I took it as a compliment. Ha... the shocking effect is definately there! MWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA....

True Sayings...
Saw this article in the newspaper last Saturday and it is so interesting that I think it is worth a blog...
1) A little of what you fancy does you good
Food cravings can sometimes be the body's way of telling you that you're deficient in a particular vitamin or minerals. Though if your craving is for six bars of chocolate a day, you'll just have to face the fact that you're greedy!
(ha.. so funny because when i read the 1st sentence i was like wow.. if this is really true saying then i shall not limit myself to my cravings to cheesecake and desserts.. then i read the last sentence and it is as if a bucket of cold water has poured on me.. ok ok.. i admit it.. i am just greedy! ha ha ha ha!)
2) You can have too much of a good thing
Many of us take vitamin and mineral supplements but it's wise to know exactly what you are taking and why.
(good advice)
3) Carrots help you see in the dark
Yes, they really do. Carrots are an excellent source of beta carotene, the plant form of vitamin A. One symptom of vitamin A deficiency is night blindness, finding it difficult to see in dim lighting or darkness. Eat more carrots and you won't trip over the cat on the way to the loo at midnight.
(as if everyone has a cat and as if everyone goes to loo at midnight?!? Heh.. but well.. be careful of eating too much carrots as i think there is also a saying that overdosing yourself with carrot will make your skin orange - now.. i am not sure whether this is true or not)
Together with this article is also the myths of healthy eating.. well.. lazy at the moment. Till next blog ^_^

Loosing someone forever...
I'm sure we all have lost something in our lives before.. be it a pen, an eraser, money..etc. However, loosing a person forever is a terrible experience.
This is an sms I got from TTB on Monday 14April 2008 at around 8pm:
"in hospital. got a call from Halim saying tat Rafik is very sick. planned to visit him but i was 10 min late, he has passed away."
I was shocked to see this as I was assuming that TTB was in the gym as she always do on Monday nights. I can still feel how she must have felt then. I cried with her that night.. and of course regreted for doing so since the next day I had swollen eyes and looked puffy!
Anyway, I have lost a dear friend a couple of years ago and my grandma a few years before that. The thought that I will never see them ever again can still bring tears in my eyes. A lot of times we were swamped with the feeling of guilt. For me, this is especially so as I was going to visit my friend that every same year and has been promised to do so for a few years back but because of busy schedule at work that I kept on postponing the journey... however.. I won't be able to keep that promise now.
As for my grandma, I was again away for work and could not make it back and hence I did not see her for the last time. There are times that I still think back and regret that I have not spent enough time with the people that I will never see again. It is very sad...
So my dear friends and whoever reading this, please do your best to spend more time with your love ones, your family and your friends and always greet whoever you see. You will never know what will happen in the next second, hence treasure the second now and don't do things you will regret forever. If you thought about someone that you haven't spoken to for a long time, send them an email or sms.. even just to say hello.
Always take good care and drive safely!
