TRUE SAYINGS
1) A little of what you fancy does you good
Food cravings can sometimes be the body's way of telling you that you're deficient in a particular vitamin or minerals. Though if your craving is for six bars of chocolate a day, you'll just have to face the fact that you're greedy!
(ha.. so funny because when i read the 1st sentence i was like wow.. if this is really true saying then i shall not limit myself to my cravings to cheesecake and desserts.. then i read the last sentence and it is as if a bucket of cold water has poured on me.. ok ok.. i admit it.. i am just greedy! ha ha ha ha!)
2) You can have too much of a good thing
Many of us take vitamin and mineral supplements but it's wise to know exactly what you are taking and why.
(good advice)
3) Carrots help you see in the dark
Yes, they really do. Carrots are an excellent source of beta carotene, the plant form of vitamin A. One symptom of vitamin A deficiency is night blindness, finding it difficult to see in dim lighting or darkness. Eat more carrots and you won't trip over the cat on the way to the loo at midnight.
(as if everyone has a cat and as if everyone goes to loo at midnight?!? Heh.. but well.. be careful of eating too much carrots as i think there is also a saying that overdosing yourself with carrot will make your skin orange - now.. i am not sure whether this is true or not)
Together with this article is also the myths of healthy eating.. well.. lazy at the moment. Till next blog ^_^
